Voice activated AI app for Rural Population using Open Innovation (August 2017)
- Built at the UC Berkeley Open Innovation Hackathon India
- Used various openly available APIs and frameworks like IBM Watson, Google Cloud Engine and many npm modules
- Functionalities include Text-to-Speech (TTS), Speech-to-Text (STT), Image Recognition, Document Parsing and many more
- Winner of the Communications section
- Initial Version slated for late 2017 release with support and funding by KL University and Government of Andhra Pradesh
- Built using NodeJS and ExpressJS server with JavaScript and Python helper functions.
REST API for Amazon/Flipkart (May/June 2016)
- Developed a RESTful API for Amazon and Flipkart Product Retrieval using python wrappers.
- Used Requests to retrieve basic information from official API and used WebDriver to manually get other data like pincode availability etc
- Parsed XML and HTML data using BeautifulSoup and Xtree to generate JSON output file
- Hosted the project on Django to accept GET and POST requests for data
- Developed features include search by product id, search by keyword, pincode availability etc
Web Scrapers (May/June 2016)
- Written numerous webscrapers for collecting information about students and colleges nationwide.
- Used Selenium WebDriver and Requests libraries to make automated page request and searches.
- BeautifulSoup and Xtree to identify required data and stored them into CSV and JSON files.
- Total data collected amounts to lakhs of records
Telecom Operator API (May 2016)
- Developed an API to automatically find the Mobile Network operator and type (prepaid/postpaid) using real-time verification from operators websites
- Used PhantomJS and Firefox Selenium Webdrivers to send HTTP requests using Python Requests library
- Identified the result using BeautifulSoup HTMlL/XML parser and stored the data into JSON output.
- Written unittests to verify validity and functioning of the API
Who Wants to be a Millionaire in Java (Jan 2016)
- Java Implementation of the famous TV show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire". All events including two lifelines are covered.
Custom Wiki for the university (Dec 2016 - present)
- A customized MediaWiki installation for the university with many added extensions and tools
- Developed an extension FindRefs targeted at regular editors for reducing the workload of finding resources by aggreating all the links at a single page
